General Enhancement Information

There are different kinds of enhancements , the most common is Lube.  Lube is a liquid or gel used during sexual activity to reduce friction between body parts or a body part and a sex toy.  Sexual lubricants increase pleasure and reduce pain during penetrative sex, masturbation, or sex toy play. 

Key Types of Lubricants:

• Water-Based: Most versatile (safe with latex condoms and all silicone toys).. Easy to clean up. May dry out and require reapplication.

• Silicone-Based: Long-lasting, slick, and waterproof (great for shower/water play). Ideal for anal sex. Do NOT use with silicone toys (can cause damage.

• Oil-Based: Thick and moisturizing. NOT recommended for vaginal sex (Infection Risk).  Destroy latex condoms. Difficult to clean up.

• Aloe-Based/Natural: A good alternative for sensitive skin, generally safe with toys and condoms. 

5 Tips For Choosing the Right Lube:
    With many types of lube to choose from, it’s important to make an informed decision when selecting one to try.

• 1. Consider it's use. 

  • • Vaginal - water based or silicone based lube (less likely to cause infection)

    •  Anal sex - silicone lube is best to prevent condom breakage

    • Oral sex- Try a flavored lube.

• 2. Use sparingly if trying to conceive - some lube impedes sperm mobility. Look for a sperm-friendly options.

• 3. Avoid products not marketed as lube - Do NOT use petroleum jelly or moisturizers inside your vagina or anus - Can cause infections. 

• 4. Monitor your overall health - consult your doctor with concerns.

• 5. Use extra lube as necessary.
